The summer internship program hosted by the Skandalaris Center is an immersive 10-week experience that provides access and insight to the dynamic enviornment and needs of a startup. This program is designed to enhance entrepreneurial skills, provide tools and resources for professional development, and immerse you in the greater St. Louis ecosystem.

Full-time paid internship supported by the Skandalaris Center
- Compensation is $4,000 (with on-campus housing included) or $6,000 (without housing)
Programming and professional development opportunities provided through weekly engagements
Build your network through interactions with student-led startups, St. Louis area founders, and your fellow interns
Dedicated support by the Skandalaris Center staff during the course of the program

Interested candidates will first complete a qualification application for the program. Once qualified, you’ll have access to an exclusive opportunities board with details on individual internships that are available.
This program is open to currently enrolled WashU undergraduate and graduate students, as well as recent alumni (graduated May 2023 or later). If you are a current student, you must have plans to enroll in courses in the fall 2024 semester.
EXPECTATIONS:
- Commitment to working full-time (40 hours/week; Monday – Friday) through the duration of the program
- Internships will begin Monday, June 3, and end on Friday, August 9. We will be hosting a mandatory kick-off dinner on Sunday, June 2.
- July 4 & 5 is the only observed holiday / days off.
- Actively engage in projects and assignments from your founder, as well as participating in Skandalaris weekly programming. Failure to participate or failure to meet the expectations of your founder and/or the Skandalaris Center can result in your removal from the program.
