McKelvey Industry Chat: Geospatial Panel
Thursday, March 11, 2021 — 5-6 p.m.

Join us for a deep dive into the engineering and computer science career opportunities within the geospatial industry. The session will include a panel of industry experts to give insight into the roles, skills, and projects in the field and how they support and partner with the NGA. Panelists will also address trends, challenges, and emerging technologies in the industry and answer your questions to help you decipher industries that align with your interests. This session is moderated by Mark Munsell (Former CTO of NGA, Principle at AWS and McKelvey Distinguished Fellow) and will feature prominent speakers from Esri, Arturo.ai, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and Planet Federal to share more about the geospatial arena in the St. Louis region.

McKelvey Engineering Virtual Meet-Up
Friday, February 26, 2021 — 1-2:30 p.m.

Hear from alums and industry professional from a cross section of industries about their internship, co-op, and post-grad hiring needs.  Each company will provide an enticing 1-2 minute “pitch” about their company and the skills they seek.  Some will have immediate hiring needs, others will be generating awareness about their company and future opportunities, but each will share their process and timelines.  Following the pitches, join small group sessions for Q&A and deeper discussion. All students are encouraged to participate whether you are looking for a position or just wanting to network and explore careers and companies.
