Engineering interns at APES (a small engineering services company in St. Louis and a leader in airplane structural analysis and life predictions) are considered to be an integral part of the Engineering staff and are provided with tasks that are both technically challenging and educationally stimulating. The internship will provide the candidate with a valuable opportunity to work with a skilled team of engineers in cutting edge fields.
Duties may include:
– Preparing test specimens, executing fatigue tests, and writing test reports.
– Applying structural analysis tools such as finite element software and crack growth analysis software to predictions of aircraft structural life.
– Interface with external customers and suppliers as required.

Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills required. Must display maturity and a high level of professionalism. Strong computer skills required, including MS Office Suite and programming language(s). Cant be afraid to get hands dirty or try new job-related tasks.
